FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology. Method includes stimulation of metabolic processes in urogenital system organs by exposure to low-intensity shock-wave pulses of microsecond range from 2 to 4 mcs within 5–10 MPa by amplitude of positive pulse phase of 2.5–5 MPa, with amplitude of negative phase of pulse and energy from 15 to 30 J. In a particular case, exposure to the urogenital system by shock wave pulses is performed by a defocused wave front with a focal region diameter of up to 60 mm and a penetration depth of the shock wave of up to 150 mm. In a particular case, exposure to the urogenital system involves shock wave impulses in amount of 5–7 sessions every 1–2 days. In a particular case, impact-wave action is carried out at pulse number 1500–2000. In a particular case, the shock-wave exposure is performed on the renal region or on the prostate.

EFFECT: method enables recovering microcirculation in an involved organ and activating aerobic oxidative processes, increasing regenerative potentials of cells and functional state of the organ.
