SUBSTANCE: proposed cassette serves to remove carbon dioxide from expired air in regeneration systems incorporated with individual breathing apparatuses, for example intended for diving or mine rescue equipment. Said cassette comprises rolled absorption sheets and drainage layer arranged there between and made up of mesh, all said elements being enclosed in shell. Cassette center accommodates form-building insert with lengthwise channel and central sleeve at the cassette center. Side surfaces of said form-building insert are formed by two oval surfaces intersecting in plan.

EFFECT: higher efficiency, simplified design.
