FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic concentration of magnetite ores for high quality products production. The belt magnetic separator includes two non-magnetic rotary drums wherein magnetic systems are contained composed of permanent magnets as well as separation products receptacles. The magnetic systems are composed of permanent magnets of the neodymium-iron-boron type shaped as rectangles with magnetic moments directed in one side and composed of several magnets with a rotation axis coinciding with that of the drums and passing through their geometrical axes so that to enable rotation from individual drives and with variable frequency to meet the movement of the conveyor belt with partitions generating a directed flow of rotary magnetic particles rising from the bottom to the top with re-cleaning at the second drum.
EFFECT: invention enables improved selectivity of separation and production of concentrates rich in iron.
