FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for improved efficiency of supplying cylinders with a water-oil mixture during lubrication of the gap between the cylinders inside the stand of a rolling mill for production of flat bars. The method involves delivery of water to at least one mixer (3) via at least one first delivery line (1) and oil via at least one second delivery line (2). In the mixture (3) water and oil are mixed and the water-oil mixture is delivered to a sprayer element (4) spraying the mixture onto at least one working cylinder (5, 6) or the support cylinder (12, 13) of the stand (7) of the rolling mill. Continuous delivery of stable quality lubricant is provided for by delivery of a cleaning medium represented by hot water or water steam oil via at least one third delivery line (8) into one or two other delivery lines (1, 2) and/or into the mixer after specific period of time or depending on the process status.
EFFECT: device for cylinders lubrication has structural elements corresponding to the method.
