FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: lipoabdominoplasty involves the preperitoneal hernioplasty with a mesh implant with preserving perforating artery perfusion to the abdominal rectus muscles. A preperitoneal space can be created both along the midline from periumbilical region, and in the sagittal umbilicotomy. The mesh implant can be fixed both trans- and pararectally.
EFFECT: adequate navel perfusion is preserved with reliable closure of the hernial orifice with the mesh implant.
