FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises driven grinding wheel and electromagnetic chuck to clamp cylindrical roller. Thrust is arranged opposite said electromagnetic chuck to run in bearing. Mechanism to feed cylindrical roller in machining zone incorporates a plate with narrow end and slot made to retain machine roller all around its edges. Grinding wheel axial section represents circular arc with radius defined by the formula: R=(Lr/2-r1)/sinα, where Lr is the length of roller; α=arctg r2/r1; r1 is chamfer parametre along roller outer surface; r2 is chamfer parametre along roller end face.
EFFECT: higher geometrical accuracy of roller chamfers.
