FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in pressing tool to processed surface of cylinder roller and in machining surface with this tool. The tool corresponds to a grinding wheel. The shape of profile of the grinding wheel in axial cross section is made as arc of circumference, radius of which is equal to specified radius of circumference arc of faces of the cylinder roller of roller bearing; value of radius is determined from geometrical expression. The device for implementation of this procedure consists of an electro-magnetic cartridge holding the cylinder roller, of the grinding wheel with a rotation drive, of a mechanism for feeding the cylinder roller into work area and for its successive withdrawal and of mechanism for loading the cylinder roller into the feed mechanism. The loading mechanism is made as two interconnected disk parts equipped with a unit for turn of the loading mechanism, also with cylinder surfaces facing each other; diametre of disk parts is determined with diametre of processed rollers. Here is disclosed dependence of choice of the shape of the grinding wheel profile.
EFFECT: processing faces of cylinder rollers of roller bearings; increased resource of roller bearings after processing.
