FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises solid lubricant (SL) pot, heat element arranged at pot bottom, SL temperature control element connected with the pot and heat element, mixer with SL feed tube arranged at pot top part. Proposed device comprises also a nozzle electrically isolated from the pot and mixer and connected in electric circuit, compressed air preparation device, system of pipelines and starting-regulating hardware. The latter is made up of time relay and normally-closed three-line two-position air control valve with direct electromagnetic control. Proposed design allows stabilising SL contact in droplet spray cone, hence, applying melted SL on grinding wheel work surface in intermittent pulses (minor doses) in every grinding wheel overtravel beyond end face of machine workpiece when grinding wheel is removed partially from machined bore.
EFFECT: higher surface quality, reduced costs.
