FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: refiner plate consists flat surface with multitude of concentric rows of teeth including external row at external periphery of plate or near it. Also teeth in the external row contain front side walls tangentially projecting at a distance at least equal to a gap between teeth in the external row. The refiner contains a disk of the rotor and stator. The disk of the rotor has the plate of the rotor with concentric rows of teeth of the rotor. The disk of the stator is positioned opposite to the rotor disk, also the disk of the stator contains the plate of the stator with concentric rows of stator teeth mutually engaged with rotor teeth rows. Stator teeth rows have an external row of stator teeth with front side walls inclined for deviating particles flowing between the teeth of the external row. In the procedure for material refining refined material is supplied between the opposite disks into the refiner to the inlet orifice of at least one of disks. One disk is rotated relative to another disk, while fibre material moves between the disks owing to centrifugal force. Material is subjected to impacts from rows of the teeth on the rotating disk mutually engaged with rows of the teeth on another disk. Refined material is deviated in its flow through the external row of the teeth on another disk. Also the external row on the disks has teeth with the front side wall inclined for deviation of fibre material moving radially between the teeth.
EFFECT: increased service life of case owing to reduced impacts of particles escaping plates of refiner at high speed against case.
