FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and can be used for diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome. That is ensured by the thermal measurement of surface hand temperature prior to the cold pressure test. Then said cold pressure test follows. For this purpose, hands are placed in a room temperature water container for 1 minute. Thereafter, the hands are dried with a towel. Then the by-the-minute thermal hand examination is carried out within 10 minutes after the test. If the pretest thermal hand pattern is isothermal, or decrease of III finger temperature on the pathology side and posttest delayed III finger temperature recovery as compared to the other fingers are observed, median nerve portion disorder is detected, and carpal tunnel syndrome is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method allows detecting fibre conduction abnormality in the median nerve compressed in the carpal tunnel.
