The composition contains a material carrier which is fermented by one or more strains specified from said group of lactic acid bacilli. To ensure better adsorption of iron or its ions, this composition is introduced in a mammal, preferentially a human. Said lactic acid bacilli are applied for preparing a pharmaceutical composition for treating anaemia.
