FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of research spacecraft flight in atmosphere. Apparatus 1 comprises container 2 with research-and-measurement hardware, deceleration device 5 and aerodynamic surface 3 that makes carrier of container 2. Apparatus flight is controlled using gradient atmospheric streams. Proposed method allows separation of container 2 and surface 3 and preservation of adjustable-length flexible linkage 4 there between. Then they are spaced apart to rule out mutual aerodynamic interference and decelerated vertically by actuating device 5. Now, decelerating device 5 is moved in horizontal position (or approximating thereto), lift is adjusted by varying length of flexible link 4 and/or varying braking force produced by device 5. To increase that braking force, dereefing or spinning-up of device 5 by ram airflow.
EFFECT: increased volume of scientific data about planet, higher probability of mission success.
