FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method of regulating molecular weight characteristics of butadiene rubber obtained using a method which involves polymerisation, homogenisation, degassing and drying steps. Molecular weight characteristics are regulated at the step for homogenising the solution of the obtained polymer. For this purpose, a solution of a polymer with pre-grafted iminoxyl groups is added. The solution is obtained by washing the reaction equipment with 0.001-20.0 wt % solution of a stable iminoxyl radical of general formula (R'NO): , where R1 denotes oxo-, oxy-, oxime groups, R2 is an alkyl group with 1-4 carbon atoms. The amount of grafted iminoxyl groups is between 0.5 and 30 wt %. The ratio of initial polymer in the homogenisation agent and the added polymer with grafted iminoxyl groups is 1:(0.0003-0.3).

EFFECT: possibility of regulating molecular weight characteristics of the polymer to the required characteristics at the end of the polymerisation process.
