FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: aircraft (AC) flying height (H) is measured, and horizontal distance (D) that separates AC from nearest end threshold of landing strip. Then, using height (H) and horizontal distance (D) and angle of approach (α), estimated final position of AC on landing strip is calculated.
EFFECT: improved safety.
