FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: electric discharge is excited in ring laser and maintained at laser working current. Then discharge is suppressed, and having increased output resistance of laser supply source, is ignited repeatedly, afterwards, by adjustment of source output voltage, the main frequency of reactive oscillations is established, and appropriate output voltage of supply source is registered. Based on processing of produced data as functions of tests time, relative speed of source output voltage change is detected, which complies with fixed main frequency of reactive oscillations, as well as speed of laser generation threshold current occurrence increase.

EFFECT: accuracy improvement.
