FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: with the method for optimal frequency control the asynchronous motor with a short-circuit rotor is supplied power to from an adjustable voltage source such as a standalone voltage invertor, a cycloconverter etc. With the method for frequency control the asynchronous motor with a short-circuit rotor is supplied power to from a power converter the slip frequency value ωs at every moment of time is proportional to optimal slip frequency ωsonm. Optimal slip frequency is multiplied by a certain coefficient of proportionality k with the sign of the assigned electromagnetic torque sign(Mz) (motor or generator) is taken into account. Thus, slip frequency at every moment of time is defined as equal to ωs=sign(Mz)·k·ωsonm, where Mz - assigned electromagnetic torque.
EFFECT: provision for maximum motor efficiency and maximum electromagnetic torques in systems for frequency control asynchronous motors with accounts for limitations of the voltage current of the power converter supplying power to the motor.
