FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: method for coding of video sequence, containing an independent sequence of image frames, at the same time at least one reference frame of image is predictable on the basis of at least one previous image frame, which precedes previous reference frame of image in order of decoding. Indication of at least one image frame, the first in the order of decoding, is coded into video sequence by image frame of specified independent sequence, at the same time at least one specified reference image frame is included into this sequence. At the stage of decoding, indication of at least one image frame is decoded from video sequence, and decoding of video sequence starts from specified first image frame of specified independent sequence, at the same time video sequence is decoded without prediction on the basis of image frame decoded to specified first image frame.
EFFECT: invention provides for high quality of reconstructed image.
