FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method for communication of radio beacons transfers from wireless access point (WAP) to client's transceiver in system of wireless local area network (WLAN) includes reception of reference timing for wireless access point. Then configuration of sectors and timing of sectors in WAP are determined. Afterwards virtual target beacon transfer time (TBTT) is calculated for a sector of interest, serviced by WAP, as number of channel of sector of interest. Method provides for listening of sector beacon signal from sector of interest in TBTT and on calculated number of channel.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of service transfer.
