SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of automation and telemechanics on railway transport and can be used to control hump electric switch mechanism. Control unit for electric switch mechanism contains input devices module (1), control relay for positive point position (2), control relay for negative point position (3), set of positive (4) and negative (5) polarity modules, two circuits for relay control by positive polarity (6) and negative polarity (7), motor (8), control relay (9), current sensor (10) and data acquisition and processing module (11). Positive polarity module set contains two signal generation modules (12) and (13) for logic processing input signals and control signals generation, control module and two contactless switches (15) and (16) with built-in control and diagnostic circuits. Sets of positive (4) and negative (5) polarity modules have the same structure.

EFFECT: increase in sensitivity, safety and reliability of device operation.
