FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: cutter has housing including the first end section (20) having cutting surface with arc-shaped end wall, second end section (22) having cutting surface with arc-shaped end wall and central section (24) connecting the first and the second end sections and having mainly flat lateral sides. At that, arc-shaped end walls of the first and second end sections are semicircular or made in the form of arc segments. Length of cutter is approximately 1.5 of cutter width. There also proposed is cutting tool for being used at well cutting, which contains cutting element and at least one above said cuter attached to cutting element.
EFFECT: increasing hardness of drilling tool.
