SUBSTANCE: method of determining hydraulic resistance of filters involves flow test of filter materials, determination of relationship between pressure fall on the filter materials and the speed of the liquid based on the flow test and flow testing the housing of one of the filters. When flow testing the filter housing, the relationship between pressure fall and the speed of the liquid on elements of the flow part is determined based on the flow test. Hydraulic resistance of any of the filters from several filters with given flow rate of liquid is determined using the obtained relationships between pressure fall and speed of the liquid on the filter material an each element of the flow part of the filter housing using the equation: ΔPf=ΔPfm+ΔP1+ΔP2+…ΔPfl, where ΔPfm is hydraulic resistance of the filter material, ΔP1+ΔP2+…ΔPfl is the hydraulic resistance of elements of the flow part of the filter housing.
EFFECT: lower expenses on determining hydraulic resistance of filters and more accurate determination.
