FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electrostatic voltmetre comprises a dielectric body, a moving element, a rotatable vertical axis, a magnetic damper, a measuring indicator, a scale. The dielectric body comprises two electrodes with their leads connected to measuring terminals. The magnetic damper is located on a base of the electrostatic voltmetre and connected with the moving element by means of a disk having a common axis with the moving element. A measurement mechanism has a socket assembly. The electrodes are turnable at a certain angle by means of handles located on the top of the electrostatic voltmetre. The electrodes are fixed to adjust a gap between the moving element and electrodes with using prismatic guides.

EFFECT: enhancement ensured by higher stability and accuracy, convenience of information read-out.
