FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: silver substrate of an indicator electrode is put into the anode chamber of a membrane electrolysis cell filled with 0.05 M potassium chloride solution, through which asymmetrical alternating current with frequency of 50 Hz and amplitude of 0.45-0.5 A passes for 3 minutes using indifferent graphite electrodes. Current is then switched off. The substrate is taken out, rinsed with bidistilled water and put into a solution of mercury (I) nitrate and electrolysis is then carried out with direct current of 20 mA for 1 minute. The mercury film electrode is then rinsed with bidistilled water and put into the anode chamber of a membrane electrolysis cell filled with 0.05 M KCl solution, through which alternating current with frequency of 50 Hz and amplitude of 0.45 A passes for 6 minutes using indifferent graphite electrodes.

EFFECT: higher assay sensitivity, higher reproducibility of analytical signals and low value of residual current.
