FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to send instantaneous messages in IP-multimedia subsystem (IMS), where an instantaneous message contains at least one message body, and recipient terminal has a limit of messages reception. Besides the method includes the following stages: reconstruction of instantaneous message by replacement of some bodies of initial message in instantaneous message for bodies of new message on the basis of configuration specified by user so that size of reconstructed instantaneous message does not exceed the limit of messages reception, in case, when size of instantaneous message exceeds limit of messages reception; and sending reconstructed instantaneous message to recipient terminal.
EFFECT: improved transfer of messages.
