SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of rabbit breeding. Method lies in the following: degree of nest-building instinct manifestation in female rabbit and state of newborn rabbits on day of birth are estimated in points. In order to form broodstock and for breeding selected are female rabbits with the highest quantity of obtained points.
EFFECT: early estimation of productivity of female rabbits favours their targeted selection during formation of broodstock and further selective work with them.
