METHOD FOR CLASS EVALUATION OF RABBIT BREEDS WHITE GIANT BY COMPLEX OF MATERNAL CHARACTERS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A01K67/02

Abstract RU 2724669 C1

FIELD: agriculture; animal breeding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rabbit breeding and may be used for selection of rabbit breeds white giant with high productivity as per complex of maternal signs. Method for class evaluation of white giant breeds consists in the fact that after each occlusion and prior to deposition, each separate maternal trait of the rabbit is evaluated with gradation of the obtained indices into classes: "elite", "I class", "II class". Evaluation of each individual maternal trait is carried out by maternal instinct, fecundity, number of grown rabbits for shedding female per hephid, number of nipples, milk content, live mass of manure at birth, live weight of manure in jigging at age of 45 days. "Elite" class refers to rabbits, in which a nest is formed, baby rabbits have a healthy appearance, are covered with a fluff layer more than 2 cm, lint weight is 20 g and more, number of live rabbits born in litter 9 and more, total number of grown rabbits 8 and more, total number of ducks in rabbit is 10 or more, milk yield is 2.0 kg or more, live mass of manure at birth is 0.6 kg and more; live mass of manure when folded at age of 45 days is 8.0 kg and more. "I class" refers to rabbits, in which a socket is formed, rabbits are healthy, covered with a fluff layer of 2 cm, down mass from 10 to 20 g, number of live rabbits born in lote 7–8, total number of rabbits grown is 6–7, total number of ducks in rabbit is 8–9, milk content is from 1.0 to 2.0 kg, live weight of manure at birth is from 0.4 to 0.5 kg, live mass of manure in setting at age of 45 days – from 5.0 to 8.0 kg. To "II class" refers rabbits, in which the nest is formed, rabbits have a healthy appearance, are not covered with down; fluff mass is less than 10 g, number of live rabbits born in litters is 6 or less, total number of grown rabbits – 5 or less, total number of ducks in rabbit is 7, milk ratio – 1.0 kg and less, live weight of manure at birth is 0.3 kg or less, live mass of manure when folded at age of 45 days is 5.0 kg and less.

EFFECT: invention will make it possible to increase rabbit breeding efficiency and animal productivity level.
