SUBSTANCE: method for classification of male rabbit breeders that includes assessment of the following indicators: the ability to be sexually active, the volume and quality of the ejaculate, body mass indices, the number of rabbits in the litter, the live weight of new-born rabbits, the weight of the offspring at the time of weaning, the safety of the offspring at the time of weaning, the degree of male interest in a female in heat, as well as the interval between two cages, and the state of breathing. As a result, the assignment of class to male breeders is carried out according to the following indicators: live weight - 4200 g, colour - white, fertility percentage - 89%, the rate of manifestation of sexual reflexes - 9.0±1.5 s, slump index - 63%, ejaculate volume - 1.5±0.5 ml, evaluation of ejaculates of male breeders - 8 points - Male line I; live weight - 4000 g, colour - white, fertility percentage - 94%, the rate of manifestation of sexual reflexes - 10.0±2.5 s, slump index - 64%, ejaculate volume - 1.3±0.35 ml, evaluation of ejaculates of male breeders - 8 points - Male line II; live weight - 6010 g, colour - white, fertility percentage - 73%, the rate of manifestation of sexual reflexes - 9.5±3.5 s, slump index - 66%, ejaculate volume - 1.0±0.25 ml, evaluation of ejaculates of male breeders - 8 points - Male line III; live weight - 5500 g, colour - white, fertility percentage - 77%, the rate of manifestation of sexual reflexes - 11.0±0.5 s, slump index - 71%, ejaculate volume - 0.9±0.1 ml, evaluation of ejaculates of male breeders - 9 points - Male line IV.

EFFECT: invention improves the accuracy of selection of male rabbit breeders in the breeding core for production of highly productive livestock.
