SUBSTANCE: invention concerns veterinary. Methods of estimated urine pH value in evaluation of selected cations, anions, and sulphur amino acids in food taken by an animal, and urine pH value estimation with using a formula which expresses urine pH value by the values of such cations, anions and sulphur amino acids. Methods for urolithiasis prevention or treatment consist in desired pH range finding, food specification to contain selected cations, anions and sulphur amino acids, urine pH value estimation with using the formula which expresses urine pH value of an animal taking this food by the values of such cations, anions and sulphur amino acids in the specified food, feeding to an animal the amount of food enabling to prevent or treat urolithiasis.
EFFECT: invention ensures more effective urolithiasis prevention or treatment.
