FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of fitting cartridge into long tub and withdrawing it therefrom and can be used in catalytic combustion and/or heat exchange for stacking cartridges in long tube. Reactor cartridge features cylindrical structure that comprises assemblage of spatially separated monoliths produced on tube or any other core. Each monolith is formed by a pair of flat and folded metal strips coiled on the tube. Said strips can be made from continuous or mesh-type material. Said folds are skewed to swirl gases flowing there through. Inlet device is attached to cartridge face, cartridge is fitted into long tube and said inlet device is detached from the cartridge. Said inlet device has centering mechanism and hooks to engage with pin jointed to cartridge. Cartridge removal is performed in a similar way.
