SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for air purification. Air filter cartridge 600 comprises a material package having an outer perimeter and comprising material having opposite first and second ends 604 and 606; sealing structure 630, surrounding outer perimeter of material package. Sealing structure 630 comprises a radially directed first sealing segment and at least one adjacent radially diverting sealing segment, extending from first sealing segment towards one of inlet and outlet ends for flow. Sealing structure comprises at least one edge seal. Sealing structure comprises three radially directed first sealing segments separated by three deflecting sealing segments, thus, the sealing structure has three orders of rotational symmetry. Air cleaning unit comprises an openable cleaner housing, forming an inner part having a radial cavity, and an air filter cartridge detachably disposed in the inner cavity of the housing.

EFFECT: providing proper orientation and sealing of the filter cartridge in the air cleaning unit housing.
