FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of intractable materials and chilled steels. Proposed method comprises feeding metal tool 2 with smooth surface to part 1 to be machined. Said tool is fed with cutting speed and subjected to continuous electric charge machining with the help of electrode 3 made from high-strength hard material. Note that, in electric charge machining, tool cutting surface and electrode working surface are subjected to ultrasound oscillations.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality.
