FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: in system of cellular communication, comprising interrelated subsystem of commutation and subsystem of basic stations of cellular communication, including also controller of basic stations, and connected to serviced mobile stations (MS) along radio channels, additionally at least one basic station of radial system is introduced, which covers the whole required region with its radio field. Radial system basic station (RSBS) is connected to controller of basic stations, which is reprogrammed so that it provides for switching of each MS to a RSBS basic station only in case when connection of mobile station to basic stations of cellular communication is terminated.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to develop a reliable inexpensive system of cellular communication with large territory of coverage in thinly populated region.
