FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in wire production by fan method. Proposed drawing device comprises two chain elevators 5 and 8 consisting of two sprockets fitted on driven 2 and idle 1 shafts and enveloped by chains. Drawing elements 9 with cylindrical surface are arranged on chains and spaced apart at regular intervals. Drawing elements arranged on chain of one elevator are located in spaces between drawing elements arranged on chain of another elevator. One elevator is mounted to move in crosswise direction to change the angle of embracing drawing elements by wire. Sprockets 3 and 4 of the first elevator are fixed on their shafts, while sprockets 6 and 7 of the second elevator are fitted on their shafts so that the distance from sprockets of the first elevator can be adjusted. Each drawing element 9 is secured on elevator chain by spring 10.

EFFECT: reduced chances of wire breakage, easier access to drawing elements for trimming of wire in place.
