RADAR MODULE AND SECURITY DETECTORS BASED ON SAID MODULE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G08B13/18 G01S13/00

Abstract RU 2406154 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: electronic unit of an antenna mirror reflector and module housing are combined into a single structure. Properties of a phased linear array of antenna feeders are used to change the direction of radio-frequency radiation with change of its high-frequency field boosting direction, as well as with change in the ratio of linear array spacing to radio wavelength and with change in the geometric shape of the surface of the mirror reflector. High resolution on evaluation of range is achieved by using, in the radar detectors, receive/transmit wireless modems with ultra-wide radio-frequency band of emitted and received radio-frequency signals, which enables reduction of radar resolution of targets to dimensions comparable to dimensions of a human body.

EFFECT: improved design of radar modules using parabolic cylinder type mirror antennae and higher possibility of forming single-beam and two-beam directional radio emission patterns, broader functionalities of single-boundary and two-boundary radio beam and radar security detectors on formation of a longitudinal-volumetric detection zone, detecting a trespasser with indication of the place of intrusion and direction of movement of the target through the boundary with high stability of overall dimensions of detection zones and resistance to interference from large vehicles moving outside the bounds of the zone, with high reliability of detection for tangential direction of movement of a trespasser through the boundary.
