FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to paronite designed for packing flat immobile sealed surface operating at environment temperature. Paronite consists of several layers out of polymer composite made of vulkanisate rubber matrix (24 wt %) wherein there are arranged particles of powder-like filler (70 wt %) and fibrous filler (6 wt %). Dimension of particles of powder-like fillers is not more, than 0.1 mm, and dimension of fibrous fillers is 4-6 mm. Finished paronite is subjected to compression corresponding to 70-75 % of operational compression of material.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of packing unit due to reduced transfer of packed surfaces required for assembly and due to reduction of deformation of padding by means of reduced compaction of paronite.
