FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to it-plate intended for operation in sealing assemblies with flat sealing surfaces. IT-plate consists of several layers of polymer composite made up of rubber vulcanisate matrix to accommodate pulverised particles of alumina and/ kaolin, and/or asbestos fibers, and/or polyaramide fibers, and differs from known compositions in that one of it-plate surface layers can recover after compression but in smaller degree compared with the other layers, due to increased content of vulcanising group.
EFFECT: higher sealing power due to reduced probability of surface layer destruction.
