FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: grit is cast out of steel containing carbon, silicon, manganese, copper, molybdenum, sulphur, phosphorus and iron at following ratio of components, wt %: carbon 0.6-1.2, silicon 0.5-0.8, manganese 0.4-0.6, copper from more 0.6 to 0.8, molybdenum from more 0.6 to 0.7, sulphur not more, than 0.05, phosphorus not more, than 0.05, iron - the rest.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of grit at reduced cost.
