SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy and can be used for fabricating of engine parts. Steel contains, mass.%: carbon 0.4-0.7; silicon 0.2-0.4; manganese 1.5-2.0; chromium 0.4-0.8; nickel 0.2-0.4; copper 0.5-1.0; aluminium 0.05-0.1; vanadium 0.1-0.2; niobium 0.4-0.8; nitrogen 0.07-0.15; molybdenum 2.0-3.5; tantalum 0.005-0.01; tellurium 0.003-0.005; iron constitutes the remaining percentage.
EFFECT: upgraded wear resistance of steel.
