FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and concerns administration of renin inhibitors for prevention or treatment of diastolic dysfunction or diastolic heart failure. For this purpose, renin inhibitors representing RO 66-1132, compound RO 66-1168 or compound of formula III are administered in the effective amounts either independently, or in combinations with an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor or with angiotensin II receptor blocker.
EFFECT: administration of the preparations provides a synergetic therapeutic effect on diastolic dysfunction or diastolic heart failure.
