FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, namely to the development of a hypoglycemic agent capable to increase exercise tolerance and to suppress appetite. Said agent represents an aqueous extract of Bergenia crassifolia fresh leaf which is dry-cured at temperature 50°C (desiccation approximately 30%), then crushed, fermented for 24-120 hours at temperature 20-45°C and dried before extraction.
EFFECT: agent extends the range of hypoglycemic drugs increasing exercise tolerance and suppressing appetite.
