FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.

SUBSTANCE: drug with a hypoglycemic effect. An agent with a hypoglycemic effect, obtained by extracting rhizomes and roots of common raspberry, crushed to particles passing through a sieve 2 mm, with water purified at a duty water curve of 1:20, for 1.5 hours when heated to 80°C, followed by settling the extract, evaporation to a thick mass and drying at a temperature of 50°C. The above remedy has an increased hypoglycemic effect. In the glucose tolerance test, the introduction of common raspberry rhizomes and roots of the dry extract led to a significant decrease in the hyperglycemic peak in comparison with the control group after 30 minutes, and 12% after 60, after 120 minutes, regardless of gender.

EFFECT: dry extract of rhizomes with roots of common raspberry does not show toxicity when administered 1.5; 2.0; 2.5 g/kg, which makes it possible to refer it to the class of low-toxic substances.
