METHOD OF TREATING FURUNCULAR ABSCESS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61N5/67 A61B18/04 A61K31/409 A61K47/30 A61K31/155 A61K33/08 A61P17/00 A61P31/00

Abstract RU 2407565 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and can be used for treating furuncular abscess. For this purpose, a necrotic suppurative core is evaporated with a semiconductor laser in a selective coagulation mode to create a wound. 0.2-0.3 mg of a gel containing a mixture of photosensitiser photoditasine, biosoluble amphiphilic polymer specified in the group: sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, chitosan sulphate and amphiphilic carrier additive - block copolymer of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, are introduced in the wound. The ratio is as follows, wt %: photosensitiser 0.2-1.0; biosoluble polymer 93.0-97.8; carrier additive 2.0-6.0. After 20-30 minutes of exposition, the wound is managed with laser radiation at wave length 0.661 mcm and power density 20-30 J/cm2. Then, the wound is closed with an antiseptic-impregnated tissue. Starting the next day, the wound is processed with NO-containing gas flows once a day for 3-4 days at gas flow temperature 38°C, distances 5 cm, expositions 50 sec and NO content - 500 ppm.

EFFECT: method allows higher clinical effectiveness, with decreased dystrophic and inflammatory processes due to complete removal of necrotic tissues, microcirculation disturbance in wound tissues, and formation of a thin cosmetic scar.
