FIELD: fire fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: installation refers to extinguishing equipment provided with a fire monitor with a shaft supplied by horizontal and vertical pointed drives. The fire monitor shaft has a TV camera-based fire detector with its central axis directed towards the supply of a fire-extinguishing agent. Besides, the detector comprises two flat curtain infrared alarm-initiating devices with their axes being parallel to the central optical axis of the detector, and detection planes being transversely-spaced and logically bracketed with the horizontal and vertical pointed drives. The alarm-initiating devices enabled to detect a low-temperature early fire source if crosscut with the detection planes. Also, there is provided a control unit which manages a prospecting advance of the central optical axis, closedown at the moment of source detection, image processing, corrective pointing to the fire centre and wireless image transmission to a specialist who makes a decision. Additionally, the control unit allows receiving an extinguishing (or cancel) command.

EFFECT: in the absence of a command during a preset period of time, the control unit ensures the independent extinguishing.
