FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of solid materials by combined processes and can be used in treatment of power station ashes to produce magnetic microspheres of certain-size close cut fractions with preset composition and magnetic properties. Proposed method comprises ash primary magnetic separation to produce magnetic concentrate and cleaning of nonmagnetic and low-magnetic inclusions. Dry magnetic concentrate is classified by sizes to the number of certain-size fractions and fed, fraction by fraction, for secondary magnetic separation and final size grading.

EFFECT: stabilisation of nonmagnetic ash quality, reduced amount of ash wastes, better ecology.
