FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dressing of minerals and may be used for concentration of iron-bearing fine man-made wastes. Proposed method comprises wet magnetic separation with adding magnetite particles to initial material. Note here that magnetic separation is performed in multiple steps at increasing magnetic induction field from 0.085 to 0.11 tesla with addition of magnetite particles and polyacrylamide. Magnetite particles are added in amount of 0.5% of dry material weight, dry material size grade making -0.4+0.2 mm, while polyacrylamide is added in concentration of 1 g/t of dry material.
EFFECT: high-grade iron-ore concentrate with iron content over 60-80%.
