METHOD TO INCREASE HEIGHT OF OVERTILE OF STAND-GATE TYPE IN INDUSTRIAL WASTE STORAGE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC E02B8/00

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in temporary taking overtile out of service, determination of technical condition of overtile and its diverting pipe (header) and in installation of plugged pipe in well onto prepared bottom of its stilling pool, and length of pipe is equal to or close to height of overtile cavity. Transverse rib is rigidly attached to pipe from outside to close cavity formed between pipe and wall of overtile directly above foundation of overtile. Pipe cross section provides for receiving and letting through of specified flow of water by pipe, and holes in lower part of pipe forming additional stilling pool provide for outlet of this water from additional stilling pool in overtile stilling pool. Cavity between pipe and wall of overtile is filled with loose material, in the basis of which a transition layer is arranged to close gap between end of transverse rib and wall of overtile, and board is arranged of concrete and/or metal on loose material of with the possibility of lowering as loose material settles down. A superstructure is arranged above overtile by addition of stands for required height and by further installation of gates, lower rows of which may jointly form a superstructure stilling pool together with board. Between board and pipe, and also between board and wall of overtile there is a separating layer of antifriction material.

EFFECT: improved stability of overtile wall receiving load from wastes and reduced load at overtile stilling pool from falling water flow.
