FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in mounting the disk with reference inertia moment on crankshaft flange. Angular acceleration of the system of revolving masses "disk with reference inertia moment and ICE is measured. Then disk with reference inertia moment if removed and angular acceleration of the system of revolving masses "ICE" is determined. ICE inertia moment is defined as the ratio between the product of angular acceleration of revolving mass system "disk with reference inertia moment, ICE" at the moment of inertia of disk with reference moment of inertia and angular acceleration difference of the revolving mass system "ICE" and angular acceleration of revolving mass system "disk with reference inertia moment, ICE".
EFFECT: determination of ICE inertia moment without braking tests.
