FIELD: personal use articles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of furniture making for sitting with preventive and health-improving properties. Health-improving armchair comprises device with variable configuration of support surfaces, seat and back, with the possibility of their reciprocal motion and accessories for anatomical features of a sitting person, including replaceable bioactive inserts for therapeutic effect. Base and support surfaces of seat are formed by method of congruent profiling - bending of plane of armchair evolvent in plane of its symmetry. Surfaces of seat and back are formed by profiling, bending - along radii outgoing from axes perpendicular to plane of symmetry - opposite ends of evolvent plane, by 180 degrees in a mirror-like manner towards each other, with division along line of longitudinal axis of symmetry into separate, but mutually joined parts, free ends of which are springy or spring-loaded.
EFFECT: provision of orthopaedic, heat-control, massage and workout effect, weakening of vibration and impact actions.
