FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: there is offered application of octenidine dihydrochloride for making a semisolid pharmaceutical compositions for wound repair, treatment of atopic dermatitis, infected eczema, dermatomycosis, vaginal infections, acne, herpes and/or control of pathogenic germs resistant to many medicinal preparations where the composition contains 0.005 to 5 wt % of octenidine dihydrochloride, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl cellulose and water.
EFFECT: declared composition contains a high portion of water-retaining components that is required for wet wounds repair and exhibits adequate action after 1-minute contact to all tested germs, fungi and bacteria.
