SUBSTANCE: multiple non-multiaddress units, which do not process multiaddress messages are registered by selective multiaddress proxy server. In reply to receipt of service request from requesting party with the help of multiaddress transfer, selective multiaddress proxy server identifies among multiple non-multiaddress units one or more suppliers of requested service. Selective multiaddress proxy server sends request to one or more suppliers without sending the request to other non-multiaddress units in computer network. Selective multiaddress proxy server, requesting party, supplier (suppliers) of service and non-multiaddress units may be all located in a single local network.
EFFECT: provision of efficient processing of multiaddress requests in computer network.
